These exquisite earrings bear the name "Sophia," which means as much as wisdom. The combination of white and black represents balance. White is often associated with purity and light, while black represents mystery and introspection.

The thin black needles seen in rock crystal is actually tourmaline. These needles are usually formed before they are covered by quartz, which preserves the fragile shapes beautifully. If instead of black, the needles you see are gold or copper-colored, they consist of rutile, green is usually epidote or actinolite, and blue needles contain the mineral dumortierite. All of these needles are true works of art by Mother Nature!
