The handmade engagement rings by jewelry designer - goldsmith Marie-Bénédicte are custom-made in 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold or 18ct rose gold with a beautiful color gemstone, pearl or diamond.
If you plan to pop the big question in the summer months, then it is advisable to discuss your engagement ring 12 to 15 weeks in advance, as everything is handmade and often she will still be looking for that one special gemstone, diamond or pearl.

For the gold, you have the choice of 18kt yellow gold, 18kt white gold or 18kt rose gold. Special engravings or inscriptions can also be engraved in or on your wedding rings .

To discuss wedding rings Marie-Bénédicte is happy to receive you by appointment in her stylish boutique in Ghent. All wedding rings are handmade in her atelier and sometimes she will look for that one unique color gemstone, salt and pepper diamond, fancy diamond or special pearl especially for you.
So remember to schedule your appointment early, you should count on a 12-week period from design to delivery.

Love for pearls & gemstones
The jewellery designs of Marie-Bénédicte are characterized by the frequent use of naturally coloured pearls, colourful natural gemstones, and natural diamonds in fancy colours.
Pearls are often mentioned in the same breath as gemstones but are two different materials.
Pearls are formed in fresh or saltwater mollusks, while gemstones are formed in the deep earth's crust.
From the very beginning, Marie-Bénédicte incorporated pearls into her jewelry creations because for her, with their velvety sheen, they have something sensual.
Pearls symbolize subtle elegance. She uses gemstones and pearls in unusual colour combinations in her work to create a contemporary look. She prefers greenish Tahitian pearls, pink Edison pearls, and champagne-coloured South Sea pearls. But in her gemstone collection, she has much more, such as rare ultra-black or blue Tahitian pearls.
Marie-Bénédicte developed a love for gemstones somewhat later in life.
Where previously, in her collections, she used gemstones as small accents, gemstones now take a prominent place in her work. Marie-Bénédicte's predilection is for pink tourmaline in all shades, but be sure to be tempted by her extensive collection of bicolour sapphires, ametrines, rutile quartzes, opalized wood, emerald, topazes, fire opal, multi-coloured tourmalines and so much more.

Give your old gold or your old jewellery - which you no longer wear - a second life. And contribute to the upcycling of your jewellery.
Your old gold is always first tested and examined in front of you at her boutique .
This old gold can be remelted into new contemporary jewelry in her recognizable style. Or the old gold (old jewelry and jewellery) you bring in will be purified and then reprocessed in her workshop into 18 ct in your desired gold color.
Conflict-free diamonds
Also important: the diamonds and gemstones used are conflict-free. They comply with UN regulations and are certified under KPCS, Kimberly Process Certification Scheme, which combats conflict diamonds.
As of today, it is also possible to have preloved, antique and fair diamonds incorporated into your jewellery .
She gets her fair diamonds from a master cutter who works with the Congolese cooperative PAMBI. This cooperative focuses on agriculture and artisanal diamond mining in the Kasai to create jobs for the local population. The mined diamonds are exported via Kinshasa directly to Antwerp where they are cut.
Pearls
Pearls are cultivated under good ecological conditions, as the mussels' survival and harvest success depend on clean and healthy natural environments.

Marie-Bénédicte's Coup de Cœur rings are inspired by the "Toi et Moi" rings.
'Toi et Moi' rings are made with two stones set side by side without ever touching and on the same ring. Historically, these stones were of equal size and shape, but contemporary designers play with this design.
Instead of two identical gemstones, Marie-Bénédicte uses a pearl and a gemstone, giving it her contemporary twist.
One of the first Toi et Moi rings mentioned in jewelry history is that of Napoleon Bonaparte, he offered his first wife, Josephine de Beauharnais, a beautiful 'Toi et Moi' ring.
